At Creative Theorem we take project management very seriously. That is why all our clients have a dedicated project manager that work with them not only through the project process but also as an account manager working with them to achieve their internet marketing goals.

Developing cutting edge web based marketing solutions takes more that just having excellent creatives, software engineers and internet marketing people. The way each individual project is managed is key to arriving at the end of a project with a solution that meets the inital project requirements and is delivered on time and on budget.

To give you an idea of how we work we have outlined a typical project structure. Depending on the size of the project this can last from a few weeks to several months.

Initial meeting

This is where we sit down with you at discuss your project in detail. We will cover the project goals, discuss and refine the project brief and ask and answer questions. This may all happen at the initial meeting or may continue after the meeting is concluded via e-mail or further face to face meetings.

Requirements Analysis

After the project kick-off meeting, a functional specification will be created to detail the user and system functions for the system. This serves as a point of reference between the client and Creative Theorem and defines the scope of the project.

Wireframe Creation

With the system functional specification defined our development team then begin to build a wireframe for the system. The wireframe is an online front end prototype of your website. It will enable the client and project team to get a feel for the functions of the website or web solution. Once the client is happy with the wireframe this stage is signed off.

Front End Graphic Design

At the same time as the wireframe is being developed our graphic designers go about designing the look and feel of the website or web solution. We believe it is very important that the design be unique and developed to reflect your organisation's specific brand. The user interface also has to be easy to use and developed with web accessibility standards in mind. On some projects, for example a new web startup, we would also be involved in designing the brand and corporate identity or logo for the company. We have a fantastic team of graphic and communication designers that have worked across numerous market sectors working with clients from big brands such as coca-cola to small and medium sized companies.

Web Build

Once the design and wireframe has been approved it is time for us to develop the site both the front end and back end. Typically this would involve designing a database and business logic in a programming language this could be Java, ASP.Net or PHP. The front end would typically be developed using the latest internet standards such as XHTML, CSS and JavaScript however this can depend on the web technology required. We also recommend implementing accessibility standards such as W3C Web Accessibility recommendations to enable users with disabilities to be able to use your website easily.

Testing

Once the web build stage is complete we then carry out various tests and bug fixes on the system. These tests may include function tests, black box testing as well as security testing of the various interfaces that the system may have. When we are satisfied that the web software is resilient enough and stable we then move on the client delivery stage.

Delivery

After the internal testing is complete we then deliver the software to the client. This stage may include deployment of the system onto a different server as well as training the client to use the software. Once the software is delivered we then move on to the final stage support.

Support

The support phase is the final phase of the project and continues there after. Our team is on hand to resolve any system issues you may have so that you can concentrate on your business knowing that we will take care of your system.
